once more: i have a very hard time with a taiwan made gauge with 75in lead, 5.8-18 unf w 1/2 in pipe bushing:
i use the dohickey screw before the rubber connector to the rad on the engine block, to the left
there is a 1/2in std thread screw. the sensor is too long to fit into that hole so i need a bushing that accepts the brass 1/2 in plug and screws into the 1/2 in
receptacle. so it should be male and female 1/2 in std.....aint! trouble is: that bushing tad is too big....18 threads per in....no way it fits
q: is there another 5/8-18 port somewhere on the motor/head that i have not found? and that would accept either bushing or be long enough to swallow entire probe, 1/2 in
std thread?
what am i doing wrong otherwise? feels like brain surgery but is not exactly rocketscience!
