Massie ferguson 35 pto grinds and wont go in.

as long as the tractor is running it wont go in the H position but it goes in the other one.but if you shut the tractor off it goes right in and everything.

Sounds like your two stage clutch is either stuck, or out of adjustment (probably out of adjustment). When you press the clutch pedal to shift the transmission it is fairly easy to depress, the second stage takes more effort to depress the pedal. When depressing the clutch pedal how far down does it go till it gets harder to push (1/2 way, 3/4 way)?

The clutch dont feel right. It feels to hard to push
from beginining.when you push it its hard to push
but it stops the tractor .if the two stage clutch is
stuck what do i need to do to get it unstuck or how
do i udjust it

My brothers 135 was that way (you almost had to stand on the clutch pedal), he decided to just put a new clutch in it, and it works good now.

The MASSEY FERGUSON SERVICE MANUAL 1448 811 M1 indicates the CLUTCH in your TRACTOR (Dual Clutch) is much like the same arrangement in several other Massey Tractor, specifically Models 50/65/35/135.
Type in:
mf 235 clutch adjustment 11 inch dual. in the Archives of the MASSEY FERGUSON page as there are several pictures you may fine of assistance.
I done an inspection on a MASSEY FERGUSON FE 35 3 cylinder diesel which had the same symptoms as your tractor. The owner had kept pushing the clutch pedal down forcing the PTO lever as the PTO was grinding. The owner did not understand that the clutch had to be replaced and by forcing the CLUTCH pedal down to far he forced the CRANKSHAFT forward and destroyed the thrust face on the Crankshaft.
Possibly by viewing "mf 235 clutch adjustment 11 inch dual". and with input from other YTer's you shall be given an avenue to proceed down
Bob....

thanks guys for all the help.if I put a new clutch in it what all should I replace new while doing it if I do.

Best thing is to get a clutch kit, it will come with the pilot, throwout bearing, and a clutch alignment tool. I would also put new input shaft seals on the transmission, and a new rear main seal on the engine (might as well since you have it apart).
