101 Exhaust Maniold elbow?

Hello all,

Can someone explain or show photos of how the exhaust manifold connects to the exhaust elbow and how that elbow is supported?

My manifold has threads (a bit tired, but...), and I have a galvanized pipe to fit it, so I'm honestly thinking of just getting a couple 1-1/2" plumbing elbows (45° or 90°) to shift the exhaust back to the shroud hole. I would prefer to have it look right, but that all depends on how this proper elbow attaches and such.

My service and parts manuals don't have enough clarity to show exactly what they looked like installed originally.

Any help appreciated...

Don't have a pic of it and its on the tractor but I built mine ! Made it out of steel pipe (thick walled), cut and welded it, has been thru one parade so far!!

Steiner tractor sells them, they fit a number of MH models. Actually, they are offset so that if water enters through the exhaust pipe or muffler, it funnels into a well at the bottom of the bend in the casting and drains out through a small hole rather than entering the engine through the exhaust ports.
