perkins rebuild

i have a 135 massey with a 3 cyl perkins diesel engine. I like the tractor, and it is in decent shape, but the engine is worn out. hour meter shows 9000 hours and has been broke since I bought the tractor. I thought about retiring the tractor and buying a replacement tractor. can't really find anything as good with the budget I have. now I'm thinking about rebuilding the engine. I'm sure someone here has done it. did the rebuild last? what was the cost? thanks for the help

It depends on if you can do it yourself, or if have someone do it for you. A rebuild kit by itself is around $350.00 to $700.00 depending on what you need. If rebuilt, and maintained correctly it should it should last a very long time.
