Acquired 'new' MF35 - Help found here

I recently acquired a safety yellow MS35 Gas (continental) with the 200 loader, plow blade, bush hog and snow blower. (although the last two were puzzling since this tractor does not have a PTO...but no matter, already sold the blower and mower)

Over the past weekend I managed to get the engine running but could not control it with the governor hooked up. Turns out that the governor compensating spring and link were missing. I was able to quickly find a spring but was at a loss for the link.

I found this forum and discovered that the link is no longer available BUT I also found a post that had a tracing on ruled paper.

With this I was able to make the missing link from 3/16 sheet stock in about 20 minutes. Fit first try and with fingers crossed, started it up. Fell into a perfect idle and the throttle and governor now work as designed.

Thank you Inno for the drawing!!

Next up, loader hydraulics . I have the basics functioning but they leak down.

Then I might look into seeing what would be involved in installing the PTO. Looks, at first glance, to be straight forward, but I can not determine if can be installed from the side and back or if the trans has to be opened. That will probably be the winter project.

Only played with JD and Ford before... the MF is interesting.
