Another crazy question......

MF rules

Take a 640 V8 out of a 2000 series MF tractor and transplant it into a 1155 MF that has the 540 V8???
Can it be done.......have a 640 turboed sitting in shed w 1,700 hrs on it......thought about throwing together a naturally aspirated 1155 pulling tractor this winter as father/sons project.
What would a guy have to do/change to make it work. I'd like to reuse the stock front end of my 1155. Thanks

Don't all of them in that size and age have the same bell housing?? and 'maybe' the pivot housings will interchange too

I was told once that if I change the oil pan and bell housing on the 640 w the 540 parts it will work.
Was told that I'd have to drill out a few holes in bellhousing to mate up with holes in block and make a shim between oil pan and bellhousing!!!???
Right.....wrong......don't know!!??
I'm not sure about everything lining up on the front end to bolt up to the 640 engine block.....bolts go thru both the oil pan front and engine side mounts.......anybody know if everything will line up and use original parts????
