Drive coupler

David, attached is a photo of the coupler. Pull the cotter pin and the shaft will move out of the coupler by hand (if the shaft isn't twisted). Then just slide the coupler pieces off and out.

You will have to pull the bottom two bolts out of the inspection cover to lower the oil level before removing the cover.

Wow, I was right for a change :)

Another pic from the top side. On second thought, the forward shaft will slide out of the coupling after the cotter pin is removed. Others will correct me if wrong. It's been 8 years since I had my 150 apart.

Thank you so much for your help. I got the old one out and have a new one on the way. Again thank you both so much.

Hi,
Adding to what Tom has said;
When you have the new cshear coupling installed you should choose a split-pin hole that reduces end float to a minimum but does not exert any compression on the reduction hub assembly. Ensure that the split pin is of correct size and length.
