Massey Harris 444 Air Stack

I'm wondering what color the air stack on my Massey Harris 444 should be? I have seen them painted red, black, and bronze. Which is correct? Thank you for the information.

The air cleaner stacks are silver on the triples.

I have a picture our our family 444 taken in the middle 60's with it's original paint. The stack sure looks bronze to me.

Did the decals come from the factory that way?

The paint on that tractor may be original to you but it did not come from the factory that way. The triples had the Massey-Harris decal on the hood and the 444 was on the gas tank. And the air stacks are silver.

i got a new old stock air cleaner stack pipe for my 555 from a closed dealer, it is most definately bronze. So I don't know what to think.
