Hydraulic problem

Hi,
After accidently putting the hydraulics momentarily into Constant Pumping with no implement connected my Mf135 (1964) now has little power to the lift arms. It will lift me about threequarters of the way up. When under this load it leaks oil from the small grease nipple sized item, with the loose square metal cap, with three small indentations in it. This is sited to the front of the seat on the left hand side. At a guess I would say it was a breather but cannot find it in my manual.
I have taken both side panels off and cleaned the filter. There does not seem to be and oil leaking from the vertical pipe or dropping down from higher up. There is some turbulence to the left of the vertical pipe. Is this usual?
The lift arms lower when the engine is turned off.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The little capped fitting under the seat is the breather. Yeah, oil shouldn't be coming out of it.
There is a 'pressure relief switch' near the filter in there. It might now be leaking and losing pressure from the get go. They aren't expensive, and on sale in the YT shop here. They will have a picture, so you'll see what I am talking about.

I'd hazard a guess and say that the either the nuts/studs retaining the cylinder to the lift cover are loose or broken, allowing the sealing "O" ring to blow out, or the cylinder is split down it's length. The latter may explain why the linkage will lift to the 3/4 position and then give up.

Thanks for your replies.
The pressure release valve does not seem to be leaking.
There are two or three streams of oil running from the side of the Ram Pump body when the arms are under I guess a split cylinder could cause this. (seen from PTO lever cover).
Any idea where the hole under the breather pipe connects to?
When I put the lever into the constant pumping quadrant ( with the engine off) I can see no movement through the Fast/Slow cover. Should I?

I guess I will have to find a hoist and take the Lift Cover off.
Can't say I am looking forward to it.

Have a good weekend.

It could have split the lift cylinder, the piston seal(s) in the lift cylinder, or the o-ring that goes in-between the lift cylinder, and the top cover. Don't forget to pull the roller out of the control lever as seen from the fast/slow response side cover.

Yup you were both right Masseynut and PTFarmer
Lovely crack along cylinder. It's a pity that you have to take so much apart to get at one of the bracket bolts in order to remove the cylinder.
Off to do that now.

Ready to put the lid on when I noticed that the Control Valve Lever retaining clip was missing. Ordered one (1861511M1)but it is too small to go over bronze stud. Is this the correct part number?
From the workshop manual it seems to be fitted with the split or fork part facing away from the end of the stud. i.e. towards the back of the tractor.
Is it supposed to just go over the end of the stud or somehow fit over the swivel or fixed brackets.

Thanks in anticipation of your help.
