MF 135 Stuck in gear

Need some advice. My MF135 is stuck in gear. I can move the shifting fork from the rear to the front through the filler hole and I can see the large gear forward in the hole move to the rear however, the gear shifter remains extremely hard to move and doesn't seem to move anything. I can force it up and back and at some point it seems to be in the neutral position but it will not move the shifting forks. Any advice? Also, it is easier to get to by removing the steering and the shifter plate or just breaking it if I have to go inside?

May be in 2 gears at once. Through the filler hole, use a big screwdriver or a suitable pry bar and bring all shift rails to neutral position and then see how things work using the shifter. It may not do it again for a long time, or you may have some other problem.

Usually the gears can be pried back into neutral through the the filler plug opening after the shifter is removed. Then re inserting the shifter while gears are in neutral will bet it back to work.
