Forgot to mention this is the fiiting i used-
1 in. x 1 in. Steel Barb x MPT Insert Fitting

it may be my eyes, but about 4" down the black hose it looks like the hose is bloated,
maybe a defective hose and fluid is leaking into the hose itself.

to be rock on, do as others say and get the proper fitting, high pressure hose.

do not want that thing blowing and spraying you with oil, could get into your eyes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've got an idea, that thing's about to explode. I'd go get a real hydraulic hose made up. Both the hose and the fittings. I always use O'Reilly's.

Every time I ve seen this in the past the webbing has become internally herniated or degraded. Oils now between the outer protective coating and the internal webbing. Through that piece of hose away . Replace as per others have suggested.

I assume that is the return hose, hopefully not the pressure line, if it's a return as another stated the hose is bad or wrong type of hose, not oil resistant type and the oil has degraded it
