does anyone have any pictures of the way the cam gear aligns with camshaft o 3 cly perkins diesel I took one off and did not check it and am having a hard time getting it right IT manual says align D on cam gear to D on camshaft all I can find is a dot on my camshaft and when you try to adjust rocker arms it acts like cam is in wrong position thanks for and help lee

British engines are famous for not having timing gear marks. Usually a 'part A 30 degrees a starboard, part B 45 degrees a port'... sort of thing.
If yours is suppose to have marks, it just might have, so clean up the other gear and see what you can see. There might be a tiny d something stamped on it, long since coated with thick gunk....
