Hi all I have a massey harris 44 puller with m&w dome pistons in it I was wondering if there is any way I can get more power out of the tractor it has a custom intake, fuel pump and an ignitor electronic ignition on it any infromation would be appreciated

You say you have a custom intake then you have a good start. If you want to stay with what you already have then put a big carburetor on it. If you want to do more you can put larger valves in the head and have them milling done. Masseys were built for power and economy, which they had. You can go with a larger bore and stroke but Massey heads are limited on what you can do to them.

Like the other posters said, the most important thing is to increase airflow through the head. Porting the entire intake tract (manifold and head) will help a lot. I've found that opening the area under the intake valve made the biggest difference. I don't know how tall the dome on your pistons is, but you probably can mill the head for even more compression. Have your cam reground by a reputable builder (Goldsburg, Gary Baker, and Bullet Cams all come to mind). A bigger carb is mandatory. I run a big Zenith. A lot of guys go with a Marvel-Schebler.
