I have an old 65 with very bad...non-existant brakes.
I need to replace them. Parts are available.
Decision is do it here or haul it to a shop.
I have a farmer neighbor with a lot of skill, talent, experience (other brands) and tools.
He can do the job but is not anxious to start the job without knowing the pitfalls.
He is afraid that on a 50 year old tractor we will get into broken bolts, seized allen screws etc etc.
Do any of you have recent experience doing this? What was difficult and what was easy?
Would you do it again? I have found 3 shops that will do it but the haul bill is almost as high as the repair.
Thanks for you insights.
