Hydraulic Remote Valve.

Hi,

Chasing some info on changing over the remote valve currently on my 65. As you can see in my photo i there is no locking pin to hold the lever in place. (hence the rubber strap) i also had no joy removing the return bung you can see just below the valve not wanting to run the risk of cracking the housing my return house can be seen very rudely dropping back into the "fill" port at the top.

I have purchased a new 3 way lever block from Bare Co but i was told i need to be aware when fitting this that something may drop down into the housing if not careful and i'll end up with a split job on my hands to fix it... Can anyone throw me some pointers as to how i should go about removing this block and replacing with my bare co valve.

Cheers, Cam.

They probably are warning about the standpoint. It supplys fluid from the pump to the valve. It may
pull out when the old valve is removed and may drop into the transmission housing. I'm not sure why
they say you will have to split the tractor to retrieve it. You may need to replace the o-rings on
both ends of the standpoint along with some square Teflon rings.

Hey thanks for the info i have new o rings for the new valve i'll give it a go over the weekend and see how we go...

Cheers, Cam.

I like to drain some of the hydraulic oil out, and take the right side cover off where dipstick/draft control speed response is. If the standpipe comes out with the top cover, or old valve you can make sure the standpipe goes back into the hydraulic pump where its supposed to.
