MF130 valve cover gasket

Hello, all, new forum member here. I have searched all over the internet, and cannot find what I am looking for. I have a MF130 with the Perkins A4-107 motor. I am looking for a valve cover gasket, also called a rocker cover gasket. I purchased one off of ebay that was listed for a Perkins 4.107, but the heads must be a different size because the one I received was about a quarter inch too narrow and about a half inch too short. I cannot find one anywhere. I knew when I got the tractor that parts were going to be not so easy to get, but I needed a tractor, and I always seem to gravitate towards weird, one off projects.

If I can't get one that is already made, does anyone know where I can get 1/4 inch thick gasket material so I can make one? The thickest gasket material I can find is 1/8 inch, which I purchased from my local NAPA. I currently have two gaskets made from the 1/8 inch material with blue RTV between them on the tractor now, curing. I just hate that I will not know if it will work or not until I put the tank back on, re-attach fuel lines, prime the pump back up, and get it fired off. If it works, then great, if not, then I will have to disassemble everything again.

SO, if i can find a properly made gasket before I put it all back together, then i will scrap what i have made and put the new one on, and that will be that.

that part number crosses over to the Payen JM360 gasket, which is the one that I ordered, that does not fit. here is the JM360 sitting on my valve cover, and the engine tag on my tractor.

I think you have cork gasket. Soak it in water after it gets wet you can make it
fit.Thankful I don't use cork anymore!!The good old days were not great in all things.

It is a cork rubber gasket. Will soaking it allow it to stretch that much?

Well, I soaked it over night, and when I pulled it out of the water, it had seemed to have stretched a bit, but was still a little short. I was able to massage it (IE taffy stretched it) to get a little more length (ha!). As I almost had it to the correct size I kind of over did it and broke it. However, my sandwiched hand cut gaskets cured fairly well so I decided to put it all back together and see how it worked. Viola! No valve cover leakages. With the old gasket it was pretty bad; I could de-grease the motor and get it nice and clean and by the time I finished grading my driveway the motor would be nice and oil coated again. Not so! Graded my driveway and moved a couple of old round bales out of the way of where I want to build my shooting range, and nary a drip of oil from the valve cover. Thanks, all, for the help and suggestions, I will be hanging around, I'm sure that I will have more questions at some point.
