Picked up a tractor part yesterday at a well known tractor parts place in Ohio. Guy next to me at the counter got a new Zenith carburetor for his Massey Harris(looked like a 44 carb) $450 and he paid tax on top of that! More then I paid for decent running 44's that I still own.

Yup, I cringe every time something breaks down anymore!
Between parts prices and service calls out to field it's gotten ridiculous! On top of that they expect us to grow corn and beans at same prices they were 20 years ago with expenses more than doubling in price!!!! A combine didn't cost $450k 20 years ago either!
Don't get a farmer started!!!!! Lol

Fair dinkum, you guys don't know how good you've got it!! Try living here in Australia and you'll know EXACTLY what it's like to get ripped off.
I buy parts from the US as well as Europe/England, freight them here, and it's still cheaper than buying from companies here. AGCO Australia would be the biggest offender.

Fair Dinkum means truth.

Our Australian version of English is a bit different from US English and UK English.
