Here's my delima.
Dad had major heart surgery 3 years back and we were forced to lease the property to farm. Dad's 2745 was parked and had remained in the shed until yesterday. Its been parked for the entire 3 years.
Yesterday, the forward/reverse shaft in the round "drum" started to show leaking of fluid and the low/high powershift felt like it was in a bind. Almost as if they were in 2 speeds on the 24 speed. Intermediate is fine and I know thats the normal for that selection. My question is this... Has anyone pulled the drum for service without splitting the tractor for major work to replace the o-rings and seals. Can it be done without tearing into the whole thing?
Dad refuses to have a desire to off load the tractor and I know all about the bad rap for the 24 speeds. This one started leaking which appears to have an effect on the operation too. [/quote]
