Massey 35 injector pump and 3 point hitch issue

Hi Folks! Newbie here. I purchased a Massey 35 tractor and it has a few issues I am hoping to get some direction on. First off it is hard starting. I know I have power to the glow plugs but still have to pull them out to see if they are working (not the main issue) The one I am dealing with is that the tractor will run fine and every now and then just die. The throttle will slow down almost to an idle then quit. When this happens it will crank forever and not start. No smoke out of the tail pipe. I pulled the supply line off the injector pump and it seems to have lots of fuel supply but very little comes out of the injector tubes when I crack them loose. Also the three point hitch does not operate at all. Any direction will help. Thanks in advance!

It sounds exactly like the fuel filter(s) are plugged. I would change them then bleed the air out of the system all the way to the injectors and see
if that solves the problem. Bleeding procedure is in the owners manual. The other possible problem could be the fuel lift pump. This is also the
hand pump you use to bleed the fuel system. If it will pump fuel to bleed the system it should be working OK.

Regarding the three point hitch, does it have an auxiliary control valve mounted in front of the seat on the transmission?
