I have a 90s massey fergsuon 1160 tractor, and am having trouble finding a pto reversal switch, im wondering if this is even an option? if not, is there a semi-easy conversion kit sold to add a PTO reverse?

A switch doesn't sound likely, but there should be reverse mechanisms out there. I know there was something like that to bolt on when Kubota? went ccw. Many moons ago.... like the Harry Ferguson gear reduction boxes...

Hi, am I missing something here? Yes Tony, you are correct about Kubota in the '80s I believe. They had the crazy? idea to introduce their own range of machines with a ccw pto shaft. It caused a problem with one of my customers who had a B7100 I believe it was. We eventually found a Wessex mower in the UK that opposite sided blades could be fitted to and that could be driven in the opposite direction.

Back to the question; The engineering required to give an optional direction pto would be considerable even if there was sufficient room in the casing. Any ccw implements in the UK are long gone to the great barn in the sky unless of course they are still used with their Kubotas!!!!!

Never heard of one where you can switch rotation (unless you have ground pto, which you don't). Why on earth would you need to reverse the pto rotation?

We have a ground slitting attachment for the back which I believe would be more effective if the PTO was reversed, also it shoots out rocks and is a little unsafe. I have decided to just fabricate a guard for the rear. Thanks for the help!
