Here's some pictures of the Loader on my 3165 S.
Just wondered if someone can let me know the loader model?

Thanks
Jim

Is that a water glass on the left side? Like a locomotive? I want one of those!
Just forward of that glass should be a small tin plate, that 'had' the series and serial number of that particular loader, might just be under 5 layers of old paint...

The ID plate is well gone.
That glass is an oil level indicator...you get them in various loaders & crawlers.

Is that valve bank & lever typical of those found in most countries?I wonder if the loader was made here in Australia.
I know that local hydraulic manufacturer ROH ,made loader frames & 4in1 buckets for the Massey crawlers like the 200 & 300.
I'd like to get a manual for this loader,as I'm gonna modify the valve bank & levers. It's located on the wrong side for me.It would be good to know specs & capacities ,etc.

I might try & find that embossed number online..

Thanks
Jim

That loader could also be a MF 32, 34, 99, or Davis 99 loader. The embossed number 704867M1 I couldn't find, it's possibly a casting number. Is the tractor an industrial? if so what's the model, and serial number.

HI PTF,
It's an industrial 3165 S...the S is Standard (not reverser) transmission.Serial 810088.
Hyd Pump is up front.

I've been repairing the clutch & have it ready to install.
However I went to clean the PTO/mainshaft splines today & noticed I can freely turn both the mainshaft & PTO shaft...no resistance.I figure something is broken/missing in the gearbox.
I bought the tractor with a "frozen clutch"..but I'm wondering if the clutch was the real issue.

If it came from MF with the loader on it, it should be a MF100 model loader (at least according to the info I have). It sure looks like a MF100 loader.

If you can put it in gear, or engage the pto, and the input shafts turns with no resistance something is up with the transmission. Since you have it split for the clutch it wouldn't hurt to pull the top cover off the trans while you are that far into it.

HI PTF,
I thought my loader looked like a 100 model.I just wasn't sure how many loaders were made for this tractor.

Regarding the gearbox,I can engage the gear & range levers, but those front shafts just spin freely.I wondered if there is a common issue that happens with this model.
I guess it could be broken or displaced parts.
I'll take a look thru the lid...

If it doesn't have a shuttle shift, and you can feel the detents in the shift levers when you engage the gears there is something not right in the transmission. The transmissions in these tractors are pretty strong, and are pretty reliable (it takes a lot to break one). Does the transmission have Multi-Power?

Yes,I can feel the detents as I select the gears.
It is the 3 speed trans, with H-S-L range.
Has dual clutch, but no PTO or controls.

This thing has done a bit of work,& probably not well maintained.

Most industrials with fel's get beat on pretty good (people trying use it like a CAT D10), could be anything from the transmission to rear end.

I'm still trying to identify this loader frame, fitted to my 3165.
I wish Massey had STAMPED a number on them, instead of ID plate. My plate is missing.
My Boom has allowance for 2 crowd rams & I wonder if this distinguishes the 200 from the 100 loader. All the 100 pics I see only have a single crowd ram.
I've been thinking my loader frame is a 100,but not sure now.

I have the clutch fitted & now going through the rams & other stuff to get her tidy enough to use for another decade.

I have all the 3165 books & discs,including the 100 loader books.
Very handy to have.
