MF-255 Hydrolics - Loader issues

I have a MF255 I recently bought. It has been well used to say the least.
I am having problems with the loader, once a load is in the bucket it would not hold but would dump.

I figure it is the control valve or the pistons, so I swapped the hydraulic ports around to see if the loader will raise. It will not.
So I think the problem is the control valve.

I have never rebuilt a control valve but if I understand correct they are not difficult to rebuild.

Can anyone give me some ideas on how to do this?

It sounds from your discription that you have a blown internal ram seal?....Has the lift rams got 2 hoses...in other words double acting?...Even if one has blown an internal seal the oil will race past that seal and take the easiest escape route.....Go back along the hose lines Until you find the 'T'
piece, blank off one side at a time and try the lift to see which one is blown. Depending on the type of hose fitting...sometimes a flat headed nail inside the connection and the hose fitting tightened up against it, is enough to restrict the flow for testing purposes.
