Alternator upgrade for MF 135 (Perkins gas)

I'm looking to overhaul the wiring on my Massey 135. Ideally, I'd like to replace the alternator and regulator with an internal-regulator alternator.

Anybody have any recommendations for a part to use? Anything I should watch out for? Anybody want to tell me I'm being dumb and should just stick with the external?

Slap a. 10SI 3 wire on it, that's what's on my 30B

My alt. died about three years ago on the 245 so I replaced it with one from a mid-80's S-10. It has worked fine so far. Can't say about the external versus internal issue.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I'm going to track down a 10si, looks like my tractor only needs 55 amps, so I'm hoping this is
going to be a solid AND cheap upgrade.
