101 Series tractors

101JR I have has the F162 Continental 4 in it. First 101s and Supers had Chrysler flat head industrial engines. 101 Seniors used F226 for gas, and F244 for low grade/kerosene use with lower compression..

Thanks for your help. What I need to know is, do all the 101series tractors share the same chassis / trans/rear assembly? My goal is to build a 101senior for pulling. I found an F226 engine, and a 101jr tractor with a bad engine. The end result must have the same wheel base, hood, and so forth as a 101senior. I want to build what could have been bought new.

Early 101 I know of had a fast high gear, my 101JR is slow, about 9 or 10 MPH. Rear end case is the same, but think the JR engine frame may be shorter than the six cylinder engine frame..
