165 hydraulics

I posted on here on the 2nd of April about my 165 hydraulics being terribly slow after we got it back from being worked on. Well, I finally got around to pulling the cover off the right side this afternoon & there is no detent plunger anywhere in there (drained fluid & couldn't find anything of it) so I guess I'm in the market for a plunger. That's why the slow /fast control isn't working. Just wondering if anyone possibly has a used one that they would sell. My email's open thanks in advance. Keith

Plunger is not needed to speed up the drop rate, but is needed to slow the drop rate. Does this tractor have the pressure control range on the quadrant for the pressure control hitch? Some tractors did not have this option, a photo through the side hole may help. I'm wondering if the lift cover linkage is set correctly..

For the dashpot (slow/fast control side cover).
882688M91 Plunger Assembly (includes Needle Valve, Spring, and Screw #10 -32 x 11/16" Hex., Hd., Special)
354465X1 Ball (1/4" Dia.)
898156M1 Needle, Valve
898160M1 Spring

I assume this is what your talking about (the dashpot).

I don't know, we just opened it up this evening. By the way, i told a guy to get in contact with you this afternoon. he has a 440 J.D. skidder that is going to need the pump rebuilt (return line getting fine black pcs in the check valve). Keith
