MF 165 Perkins Diesel Engine Needed

Hi all,

I am moving from Fords, Farmalls, Olivers and MM's to Massey Fergusons.

A farmer/friend has a MF 165 that was allowed to run without oil and the engine is now fried.

He wants a replacement engine with a working one, rather than trying to salvage the current one.

Does anyone here have a good working Perkins 4 cylinder engine that will bolt up to his 165?

Any suggestions as to where to locate one?

All help would be appreciated.

There is one on eBay right now listed under Perkins engine. Its from a 65 but
they're the same, 203. It says its in Mich.

Early 65 had the Regular diesel, not direct injected like the 165 or late 65 used.

What's your location? I know where one sits that ran when
parked in michigan. Tractor had a bad hydraulic pump.

I am in Utah. The fraight would be high but if the price is right.....
Maybe a good deal to be had.
