I'll ask this question here too.....Manual says to use SAE 90w gear/mineral oil.. need 1 QT,but cant seem to find it anywhere...napa can order 1-gallon and they also said do not use regular gear lube....anybody know where I can buy a quart of this oil? It's for the steering gear box....no power steering on this model.

Wish you were here, I changed the transmission hydraulic oil in my TO35 last year.

It uses 90 weight GL-1 mineral oil, had to buy 8 gallons from NAPA.

I would give you some of what I did not use.

Might try TSC, they sell 90 weight GL-1 mineral oil.

Also look at John Deere or CaseIH corn head grease, this stuff is about the best lube you can buy. It really has a viscosity as a heavy oil, rather than a grease.

Tractor Supply has it, around $18.00 for a 2 gallon jug. Most of the steering boxes I've had apart had some sort of grease in them rather than oil. Most of the boxes that get rebuilt seem to still leak if you put gear oil in them. Lucas Oil makes a hub oil for the oil bath trailer hubs that's thick, and super sticky.
