Massey Ferguson 240 wiring

I have a Massey Ferguson 240 and the starter has a
solenoid. The wiring diagram I have does not have
a solenoid. Can anyone help me?

I happen to have a I&T shop manual, number "MF-42", and there's a wiring diagram in there. Bad part, I don't know how to read wiring diagrams, but if you can find the "MF-42" I&T manual, there's one in there.

There was a post several days ago about wiring gauges on MF175 which included a diagram provided by ptfarmer that shows the basic premise of your question. You can find it by putting " gauges on MF175 " in the search function at the top of the page. It may be of some help..

The solenoid is part of the starter, at least it is on the 240 I just looked at. You have + wire coming from battery, and two large lugs on the starter, starter has the round solenoid and the side on the round motor housing.
