MF35 running rough

My 1960 Z134 recently started running extremely rough. I cleaned plugs, checked distibutor and I get good spark. When the engine is running, i choke to see if a fuel flow could be the issue and it doesn't appear to be. I cleaned carb and ran known to be new fuel directly into carb and still the very bad stuttering. I'm stumped. I built engine several years ago and up until now it has performed excellent. The distibutor is still bolted tight so i can't believe a timing issue but I can't get it figured.
Thanks

I would start with a compression test.
I would do a complete tuneup, I use autolite 3116 plugs, works good for me. Buy the best tuneup part you can find, Napa normally has good parts.

Check your ignition wires, I had a AC D14 that started running rough, I could not find the reason for the intermittent miss.

Finally found it, mouse built a nest in the steering shaft housing, was covered by guards.

Bare wire would touch steering shaft and miss.

Sometimes you have to go back to square one and start over, suspect everything.

Good hunting,

When is the last time you serviced the air cleaner?? If could be full of dirt/water/ice is still cold where you are. Also if it is a valve in head engine the valves may need to be adjusted. Spark at all 4 plugs has to jump a 1/4 inch gap ot more

We are having issues with our 85. We think we have it narrowed down to sticking advance weights in the distributor. Might be worth a look

(quoted from post at 10:57:02 03/18/15) Thanks guys, I will do a complete tune up and clean my gas tank. If that doesn't do it then i'll pull the valve cover and go from there.

Check each plug lead from the dist cap to the plug.
Not uncommon for them to have issues where they are screwed into the dist cap, can get corrosion between the splayed out wire end and the dist cap post, and damaged wires etc.
Also check the plug leads with your multimeter to make sure they are not broken.

check coil lead too, you might find that its breaking down on load somewhere along in that path.
is the inside of the dist cap clean and free from dust etc.
