Massey Harris Air Cleaner ?

I am working on a Massey 44 that was a basket case when I got it. The problem I have now is the air cleaner tube fits loose on the air cleaner. The air cleaner should be 2 1/4" which is right because I have a 44 to compare with. The air cleaner I have measures 2". Other than that they look the same. Is this off of a smaller tractor? When I got this tractor I thought it was a Special, but it looks like it is a 277 engine with a diesel rear end.

Hi Scott,
If you have a 277 engine it will have two freeze plugs on the upper front side of the block. The Specials, with the 277, have a different air cleaner (they look the same) than a "44" but with a smaller diameter stack and a smaller around cap.
