MF 135 3 cyl Perkins Diesel rear oil leak.

I have a 1964 135 w/Perkins dieasel. I am in the process of restoring and initially had an oil leak from the rear of the engine dripping through the cotter pin. I split the tractor and replaced the rear main crank seal. Upon running the engine for a while the oil through the hole has returnrd enough to be addressed. I split the tractor and removed the flywheel/adapter plate to see where the oil may be coming from. There was an oil drip on the bottom of the rear main cap but the rear oil seal housing, bolts, rear of crank were dry. No oil residue on them but looking at the rear of the engine below the main bearing cap I see oil weeping down that surface. Does it appear that the oil pan gasket could be leaking causing my problem? I thought I saw somewhere that the pan gaskets can leak like this.

Any help is appriciated.

Can the pan gasket be replaced without disturbing the rear main seal?

the old rear pan gasket was cork and it would shrink, the new one are some type of cork blend and work real well, easy way to determine if that's the problem is raise the front end enough for the oil level in the pan to cover the seal and it will leak without the engine running the rear main wont, seen more than one leave a little trail of oil when loaded on a tilt trailer.
