I'm looking for a "working MF 35 power steering box or gear assembly box" shipped to Texas. The Part # is: 189739m92

My tractor has a Z134 continental engine. Let me know what you have and how much you want for it. Post up pictures. Prefer you have an Ebay account to protect both the seller and buyer. Add pictures please, its to hard to buy anything in the dark. will pay a fair price for it nothing out of this world.

Thanks my email: [email protected]

Thanks Pete

Below is the sample in sketch of what i'm looking for.

Last one I priced was 1200 at a salvage yard. The
easiest thing is to look closely at 35's for sell
and find one with PS. There was one on cl in Tenn.
several months back for 1500 and it didn't run and I
asked the woman to call back once she realized a
non-runner wouldn't bring that money and never heard
anything. My old box is completely stripped and
warped between cyl. and sector. I have 2 manual
boxes for sell.

LOL for that lady.

Yes true, we can find them run down tractors for $600-1200 suddenly. I don't have much time at the moment just easier to post what i'm looking for here and there for now. On the pictures we didn't buff out the rust as the conversion is still pending so it might be coming off so we left as is for now.

I already have the components to do a very well made steering conversion but i'm gonna give a try to see if i can find this box and get parts of what goes there first.

Hoping someone may have 1 for a decent price, definitely not paying to high a price for it. Our tractor currently has manual and is fine no issues, we just finished cleaning it up and upgrading it, came out not to bad.

Here's a few pics of the work, Thanks Pete

Pete,
I have one of these units but I don't know anything about it. It was on a parts tractor that I got for the fenders and 3pth. The engine and front axle were gone. If interested let me know.

Hello Tom, the red one i posted is what i currently have and is manual type and is currently working.. Do you have the power steering housing type which is what i'm looking for at the moment? Can you posted up?

Thanks Pete

I have a 2135 industrial that has power steering I plan on doing away with the MF steering completely (make it hydrostat, rather than power assist which is what the factory setup is). The 2135 doesn't have the big steering motor like the 35 you have shown in the one picture, it's all contained in the steering column where the steering shaft is, it should just need seals since it leaked. On mine all the hoses where no good, the two cylinders, and pump leaked also so I took all that stuff off already. Don't know when I'll get around to pull the steering box/power assist off, I already have another top cover to replace it. I'm in the process of figuring out a steering cylinder setup so I can also eliminate the tie rods that go from the spindles to the steering box. I'm not a big fan of the old 35, 135 (2135) steering system. I'm in Texas also.

Wanna ask just curious as i don't know, the mounting bolts from the steering box housing are they both the same on the 2135 and MF35?
Can you share a pic of how it looks when you get a chance?

Thanks Pete

By looking at your picture I think they are pretty much all the same. I'll take a couple pictures, and post them up.

BTW: I'm in San Antonio, where are you at?

This is what i have.
I already have the valve assembly, 2-cylinder pistons, hydraulic lines and a power steering & reservoir tank and i was gonna modify the whole jeepers creepers. But it's on hold for a bit.

Thanks for the pics, i see your housing has the valve assembly similar to what i need, but i can't see the rear part of the housing where the cylinder goes. If it has the built in cylinder assembly on it that be it. Can you take a pic of the rear housing and if it's the one, what you asking for it?

Thanks

This one is a newer, more compact style power steering so it doesn't have the cylinder on the backside like the older ones had. I still have all the old fittings, hoses, cylinders, and power steering pump. The only thing I don't have is the drive gear that's on the pump, I sold it someone who needed just the pump gear. I'd sell everything I have for it a lot cheaper than a tractor salvage yard would.

I know which housing you got. If i was to go that route i don't really need anything else other then the housing adapter and above just to make sure i have the right components as i will end up replacing the valve etc etc..

I've found 2 places that have the exact part number housing i'm looking for but one of the prices from this guys is out of this planet the other guy has a fair price, but i will keep searching for a few more days see if i find some more at a better price. I'm really looking for the one with the cylinder on back to where i can remanufacture it from the floor up.

If i get anything i'll post up it up. Thanks Pete

After looking closer at your setup it doesn't use the two hydraulic cylinders like mine does. A lot better than having all hydraulic lines, and the two hydraulic cylinders on the front axle like mine had.

That's correct i want to try and get this type but i would like to rebuilt it if i get my hands on 1 so i can know what i have, true alot less mess :)

To the members here who replied to my post and tried to help, thank you very much greatly appreciate it seriously. I have found the exact part i was looking for. You can see the video on the link below and i also attached some images of the power steering assembly. Thank you again i have yet to clean and do a thorough inside inspection and paint in the end....

Thanks again Pete

The part shown without the hydraulic cylinder attached and cylinders on the front end is a more heavy duty type of steering, my 202 has the same setup. If you do not plan to use your 35 with a front end loader the one you found should be great. If you ever do plan on a front end loader you may want to consider going the other way.
