What oil do I need in rear end

What oil goes in the rear end housing on a MF30 industrial? This is a dry clutch shuttle shift. It is also the oil that operates the three point. Thanks

I'm not 100% sure but I would think you'd want to use transmisssion/hydraulic oil in the rearend!?
I'd go to your local MF dealer and get some permatran 3XL tranny hydraulic oil if it were me! [/quote]

Best advice: check your manual, over the years Ferguson/MF used different transmission hydraulic differential fluids.

It's not worth taking a chance on buying the wrong oil.

My old Ferguson uses 90 weight GL-1 mineral oil, in today's world who would have thought that.

Just be sure to use the correct oil, some low budget big box store oils might not be the quality oil you need for hard service.
