Massey 333 firing order

i'm trying to get a massey harris 333 to run again. it's been sitting for quite awhile. got good fuel to the carb, good spark across the breaker points when the ignition is on, but no spark to the plugs. i'm going to replace the plugs, but what is the firing order on the 333? also, does anyone know which spot in the distributor cap should be for the #1 cylinder? and I believe the rotor turns counterclockwise. is this correct? thank you for the help!

Slow down, no spark to the plugs is not a spark plug issue. Make sure you have GOOD spark out of the coil before proceeding.

firing order is 1342.
pull out #1 spark plug or all of them for easy turning. get #1 cyl. on top dead centre on the compression stroke. this is when you feel the compression being pushed out.
at TDC you will see the spot the rotor is pointing to on the cap. that is #1 cyl.you will also see which direction the rotor is turning with the cap off. yes there is a spot for #1 but it could be in any spot over the years if the dist was removed and not installed the same. will not affect running though.
to time it line up the timing marks , then loosen dist and turn it a bit in same direction as travel. then go opposite direction till you hear the spark jump as the points just start to open( with key on) tighten down and good. you can also put a piece of paper inbetween points and the moment the paper pulls out tighten there.
I would have to go out and look at factory #1 spot.

Understand that the #1 spark plug wire can be on anyone of the 4 "ports" on the distributor cap, depending on how the distributor was installed the last time. You need to roll the engine up onto #1 cylinder TDC (compression stroke), then check to see at which "port" the rotor is pointing.
