OH Thank you so much. This makes perfect sense. So does anyone know where I can get a torque converter? I am posting

a pick of the serial # plate, and another small plate on the other side, if anyone knows what it is?

that plate is the modle num and serial for the
loader only and has no relation to the actual
tractor as massey used the same loader on many
other tractors beside the mf 30 you have it on
now
you need to find the plate for your tractor or
find the serial number for your motor and check
with agro they may be able to tell you what yr
the tractor was made
sombody on here might be able to help you figure
out the yr of manufature with the tractor or
motor serial num as tractor data has no listing
on the mf30
the serial num for your loader will not help you
find parts for the tractor

first pic is a mf30 and if you expand the pic you will see what i think is the serial numplate for the tractor down below the steering wheel behind the shifter just above the transmittion
the second pic is of my mf 20 dash and ifyou look through the steeng wheelon the left youcan seemy factory plate with modle and serial num its the black one
in the thrid pic you will see the modle and serial num plate for the loader only

Kind of looks like a 3165 industrial by looking at the hood/dash (along with the round emblem on sides of the hood). Need some good close up pictures of the tractor.

Great News I found it. it is in fact a 1974. the plate was kind of beat up so the pick isnt good, but we could clearly see its a 74. Now I need to know where to get parts. Anyone know? I am very greatful to all the help I have got here. Its just such fun to.

If you are in the U.S. call AGCO Answers 1(877)-525-4384 They can put you in touch with someone who still deals with MF industrial equipment. For a MF model 30 industrial tractor the torque converter part number is 193628M1

On Massey Ferguson industrial equipment the loader, tractor, and backhoe all have their own model number. The backhoe should have a tag like the loader does.
If you need parts for loader you go by the loader model number, if you need tractor parts you go by the tractor model number, and if you need parts for the backhoe you go by the backhoe model number. On the tractor itself some of the agricultural parts will work on the industrial (engine parts, sheet metal, etc). The agricultural tractors didn't come with the torque converter type transmission, if your tractor was a manual shuttle where it uses a regular clutch/manual transmission most of the agricultural parts would work.
