MF204 oil leak from weep hole in bell housing

Hello, I have been asked to repair an oil leak on an MF 204. The oil is leaking from the weep hole in the bottom of the bell housing.

I assume it is the torque converter o ring leaking, but I have not gotten into it at all yet.

It looks as though the tractor will have to be split to work on that area.

As usual the machine needs to be back in service asap.

So, what leaks hydraulic fluid from that hole? The little weep hole just forward of the transmission inspection plate on the belly of the tractor.

How do I get at it to fix it?

What is involved in splitting the MF204 in half?

Where can I get a free .pdf repair manual?

I am mostly an auto mechanic, but I was raised to fix whatever breaks and the lady pays well. So that's where I'm at.

Hoping to find some good advice on here. Thx

My old Ferguson TO 35 has leaked for years. Mine
leaks trans fluid, this hole will also drip if the
motor rear main leaks.

So first determine what's leaking?

I just keep the trans level at the mid point on the
dip stick, so far it works ok.

it's a fairly big job for a $12 input shaft seal. if she pays good and feels it has to be done, then go for it. splitting is pretty straight forward. unhook wires, linkages, steering shaft.take off hood remove gas tank then bell housing bolts. On my TO35,i used a bottle jack to hold up the back half, and a floor jack under the oil pan. the oil pan can support it, and separate. would be a good time to check rear main seal and the clutch as well.If the clutch feels crappy might as well pre-order everything and change them out all at once ( I bought both clutches, both input shaft seals, rear main seal and new ring gear and spent under $275. can be done in a weekend. if you can wrench on cars, his ain't so bad.have fun

I'd replace the rear main seal, and the input shaft seals. Since you have to pull the clutch off the flywheel anyways, you might as well inspect the clutch, throw out, and pilot bearing..
