frame on a MH 30

Men, Can I put a bolt with a hook through the bottom of the frame belly to chain/tie down a MH 30? Put one on each side for transportation on a trailer? Or will it crack open the frame while in transport.

I don't see why you could not do that. Those holes are there for equipment like cultivators etc and they have to take a lot of hits from rocks etc.

Are you thinking about drilling new holes in the bottom of the frame or using existing holes?

dad had a 44 with d rings bolted under the frame to run chains through. hauled it for years. worked well.

Irv,
I use the drilled and tapped holes where the rear wishbone bracket for a wide front bolts to the frame. I have done this for years even on 55s and the 200 series with no problems.
