Massey 2680HD with Meyer snow plow

I have a 2680HD with cab and MFWD. 8 speed with
mechanical shuttle shift. The plow is mounted to the tractor on
a subframe not on the FEL. I have a DA cylinder for the up and
down functions and the standard meyer SA cylinders for left
and right angle functions (both are new). The hoses are
hooked into the rear remotes of the tractor. My problem is that
the plow will not angle right. It angles left fine but will only
angle a little bit past center going right. If I mess with it long
enough I can get it to work and once it starts working it is fine.
After the tractor sits for any length of time the problem returns.
I have switched the hoses top to bottom and even switched
them from one remote to the other with the same result. I am
baffled and would appreciate any insight. Thanks in advance
Thomas.

Now you have three things to check,1st take the bolts or pins out of the SA cylinders and make sure it angles by hand easily,2nd swap the hoses at the cylinders-may have a hose collapsed inside,3rd if you have couplers in the front-one of those could be bad.

Hi As Jersey said coupler problems, Do you have those safety couplers that push in and pull out without moving a lock collar. If you do those stupid things will fit together with pressure on one or both lines. But it might only let oil flow to one side of the cylinder and not free return out the other giving the symptom you say. Depending how the 2 singles are plumbed it could cause the same flow problem.
Messing with it might let the flow go intermittently, then it messes up again. sometimes guys will say miss matched ends will cause it to, as they won't open the couplers properly if there is any ware.
If you have ball, nipple, or pin style, push type lock collar quick release ends on the female coupler you really need the same style center for the males on the other end to match and be 100% sure it will work right every time.

Aha! Thanks gentlemen, we have had similar problems with implements attached to our 6860 Landini. In our case, it always happens after reconnecting, when the guilty cylinder is at one end of it's stroke. Undoing the lines and releasing the pressure seemed to cure the symptom. It's good to know what the problem is. MK
