Sediment bowl drip

I am not able to stop my sediment bowl from
dripping. Tried a new cork gasket,a rubber gasket
and different levels of tension on the bail.
Still drips every 3-5 seconds so I turn off the
tank shut-off valve and hang the key on it so I
remember to open it before I start the tractor.
Any ideas to stop the drip?

If you cannot stop the leak, then replace it, do not drive the tractor with gas leaking.

That is my opinion.

I have had to replace two or three of them over the years.

If you buy a replacement, might buy from the dealer, it may be of better quality than tsc or parts store.

Stay safe!!!

This is a 65 diesel and last summer I bought a new fuel pump/sediment bowl assembly from this site because I had a bad leak at the lift pump diaphragm. The new one was a horrible mess, it leaked something fierce at the diaphragm. I pulled it off and bought a rebuild kit from AGCO and installed it on the original. That cured the diaphragm leak but I'm still fighting the sediment bowl. How tight do you crank down on the bail?

Always always ALWAYS mount a fire extinguisher on every tractor. MIghty cheap to take care of something mighty expensive.

Check the bowl for any chips etc. Also make sure the assembly is good and clean and has no ruff areas. You can also try to soak the gasket in gas for a few minutes before putting it on to soften it up. Good chance the assembly is warped or bad in some such way
