Continental Z-145

Hi,

This is a little rediculous. I have tried to find information about the horsepower on the Continental Z-145 used in MF 135, in other words a little later Z-145. The Z-145 in the Ferguson 40 had 6.6:1 in compression ratio, while later engines had higher compression, the most I have seen is 7.4:1.
But, I can not find any horsepower figures for this engine at all. I have been looking at tractordata.com, and been searching for manuals online or places that could have some information about it. But not a single word about it.

Does anyone know any figures ? Or do I have to bite the bullet and buy a manual, :) .

(quoted from post at 18:46:05 12/30/14) I have an old advertising brochure that says Z-145 engine is 35 PTO hp at 2000 rpm.

Thank you, does it say anything about the compression ratio on that engine ?

Continental Z145 35hp, 7.1:1 compression ratio. The F40 had the Z134 that claimed 32hp with a 6.6:1 compression ratio. The Z134 also had a 8.0:1 compression ratio for high altitude applications according to my Z134 engine manual .

My TO-35 has the high compression ZB-134 engine . This is what the engine tag looks like. It does have a little more power than the 57 TO-35 my brother has with the Z-134 .

At sea level the low altitude Z134 should have around 145 psi of compression. On the high altitude Z134 at sea level has 170 psi. The high altitude Z134 has 143 psi a 6000' above sea level. The low altitude has 122 psi a 5000' above seal level.
