203 blowing oil

Out of the breather tube. I'm trading hay for a 65
Massey ad203. Owner says it blows oil out the
breather tube. I guess it runs well other than that.
He also says the top end has been rebuilt. I've only
seen pics of the tractor. I'm basically getting it
for scrap price but have to travel six hours to get
it. Any ideas on the oil issue?

You might get lucky that someone installed the rocker arm shaft wrong allowing too much oil to the rocker arms. There are pictures in the 152 3cyl and 203 4 service books that explain the notch at he shaft end, and how to set it. Be worth a look, along with finding out what weight oil is being used. Otherwise I'd guess ring trouble.

I'll have to get her home a d have a look see. I'm working out details on collecting her. I'm not an engine man but have been through pretty much every other part of a 65, Thanks .

Used to do more Perkins repairs, but now stay with diesel pumps and injectors only. Still work on some engines, but in my own toys..

It's not that hard to do a in-frame rebuild (new liners, pistons, etc).
