Separation Anxiety

Woke up early on this Christmas Eve thinking about my little red tractor addiction.
I have collected 3- MF35s plus 7-MF135s over the years.

Yes - ask my wife - 10 tractors "all alike".
[size=9:76cd90ad4f](You and I know they each have their own personality but my wife will likely go to her grave without appreciating each in a different kind of way. Know what I am talking about?)[/size:76cd90ad4f]

Anyway,
I moving and am in the process of selling this collection. These tractors have given me a lot of enjoyment over the years.
I wanted to let you all know how much help and entertainment you and this web site has been to me.
I do not see where it tells how long I have been coming to this site- I think it has been at least 10 years.
In the past I would post occasionally but now I can find what I need in the archives(or Big Dean's CDs). I don't advise because there is better advice on here than I could give. I often visit here and skim through posts just to see if I can pick up something new.
The moderators evidently do a really good job.
It is a pleasure to hear civil, passionate discussion where the only motive is to help another. You have my admiration.

Even if y'all are not aware- you have provided me hours of enjoyment to my hobby - something I like to spend my time doing.

Everyone involved here has my sincere appreciation.

and
Thank You,
Greg in KY

I hope you have good luck with the sell. I have
collected 8 so far an only sold one and that was to
my brother. I've learned a lot on here as well and
realize they are hard to part with.Glad your not
closer but Tony in OK might want to sell his and buy
yours.

So you are saying red tractors become an addiction? I came here from the green forum after I got rid of my old green 1010 and got a red 135. I must say that I love my 135 as compared to that old 1010. I looked at a '62 yellow 35 the other day. Hope that is not the beginning symptom of the addiction of which you speak. Probably not since it was yellow.....

Hello Greg,
I suspect that you are not alone in your affliction. However the affliction does vary according to the person concerned. It manifests itself with some a blue or green or other shades of red to name several. However the symptoms are similar with a glazing of the eyes each time a new specimen of a certain colour is admired.

I myself have suffered the red affliction for over 40 years and there are no signs of an improvement. You might say it's been a '40-year marriage'. My new partner is more than happy to allow my affliction to continue as she has her Leyland 245 with my 165 which are used on charity money-raising roadruns in South Wales.
I'm sure that we on this side of the pond will wish you all the best for your sale and send our best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy(no MFs?) New Year.

Best of luck selling your stuff. Some of the guys on this board might be interested, so could ya let us know when & where they're sold?

BTW - I'm not addicted to buying tractors. I can quit any time I want.

If it is against the rules about advertising then let me know
and I will delete this. I do not want to push the limit of this
forum.
These are on Craigslist-

I have a few people coming to look at them this weekend. I
am almost certain I have a couple already sold to local
people. The response has been good. I do not believe I will
have hard time selling them.
---------
The diesel 35 is the one my dad bought new in 1964. I have a
picture of me at 3 years old sitting on it when it was new.
This and a 9N Ford is the only tractors we had on a 160 acre
feeder steers, tobacco, corn and hay farm that I grew up on
here in central KY. I have put a lot of hours on it.
It sold to a local man at auction when dad "lost the farm"
in 1982. I bought it back about 5 years ago. It was in bad
condition but I had it put in top shape mechanically. It has 36 hours on a complete motor rebuild and "anything
else it needs mechanically".It sure
ain't pretty though.

I am getting more sure that I am going to find a place to keep
it. The separation anxiety might win on this one.

I am hoping that someone will have fun with my MH44 EFI when I decide to let it go. I hope that other friends will take the others.
