I am in need of direction on how to adjust the hydrulic lift cover. I have just rebuilt my hyd system and I am to the point of adjusting the lift cover and then setting the rest after I get the cover back on. This perticular MF175 only has the dash pot if that helps for information. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Hello,
It would appear that your tractor does not have Pressure Control> Are the quadrant plates the same length? If the inner one is longer and you move the Position Control lever rearwards to lower the 3-point then you will have PC fitted. The procedure for adjusting the settings is beyond the scope of a reply here. Special setting tools are necessary to do the job correctly.
As a starting point have you removed and overhauled the control spring assembly?
A good workshop manual, preferably the genuine MF one is essential as well as the tools. Most of the tools can be made if you have the dimensions.
The MF manual for the 135 or 165 will give the basic info for the adjustments.

i have rebuilt top link spring. You are corect, it does not have pressure control. The only setting that really can be adjusted are the draft, pressure and the lever at the dashpot just inside the right cover. I think I have figured out.
