MF 135 headlight location

I have a 1964 MF 123 s/n ******0373. Where is the proper location for headlights on this year tractor? It has the Perkins diesel engine. When I bought it there were broken brackets in the front upper grill. They appeared to be added at a later time and not stock. There are no holes in the sides of the hood that would indicate side mounted lights. There is a busted up work light and bracket on the left rear fender. Any help or suggestions? I have seen where lights are mounted on the rear fender fronts pointing forward.

Mine were/are located at the top of the fenders.
These look original. The loader was added later.
There are no holes in the front or in the hood for
the lights.

John Kruer, you could go with the MF "square" fenders Like the ones on my brothers 150 (they also came on some 135's).

Or you could do what my brother did on his 135, and get the UK style grill/headlights.

The ones that mount on the outside side of the grill always seem to get broken off no matter how careful you are.
 
It is my understanding only 65 and before had lights on rear fenders. Tires kicked up to much dust, making lights not very effective. I have a 65 with lights on rear fenders, original.
 

I've got the older round fenders and will possibly go with fender lights if I can find some. I'm not sure what all would be needed to go with the european style.
 
Converting it to the UK style was pretty easy, I ordered the grill sides, grill door and headlights from Ireland. The grill door for the UK style is narrower than the US grill door, the side grills are wider than the US side grills (to fit the headlights). All the other parts are US parts, and it pretty much bolts together.
 

The sheetmetal is complete and I am not looking to buy new front metal to add lights. I'll keep looking around for some light housings.
