MF 35 stand pipe

The lift arms on my MF35 drop down rather quickly after the engine is shut down. From previous posts, it is advised first to replace the O rings on the stand pipe. Most say it is rather easy to remove it. Before attempting this, would you agree?

Yes, it's easy to remove. And not too difficult to replace. But I'm skeptical that it will help any.

One suggestion - Make sure the lift arms are all the way down [b:6d5697b426][i:6d5697b426]before[/i:6d5697b426][/b:6d5697b426] you take the cover off the stand pipe. Otherwise you could get a stream of oil shooting out of there that hits the ceiling and spatters all over the place.

Of course that's never happened to me - I've just heard tell of it. :D

The stand pipe on my 150 wouldn't pull up/out of the lift cover. It would come out a few inches and then hit something.

I pulled the right cover (with the dipstick) and found a square block welded into the stand pipe. Upon research, It seems that the tractor had pressure control sometime in it's life.

The stand pipe had to come out via the cover.
