Well ive had the 65 together for a few days and finally put the oil back in to try it out. At first I had hill holding and it wouldn't coast. I adjusted the linkage and tried it. She works great. Boy she will move! Thanks for the help guys.

Hi, did you rebuild your rear axle? I have a 1964? mf 65 MKII that had some bad bearings. The mechanic could not remove the bearing retaining collar on the outer half shaft therefore he cut it with his torch. Now i cannot find a replacement collar for it. There is no number/id on the collar. Do you know what collar this tractor uses? I cannot use this tractor because I cannot locate a collar for it. thank you for your help.

The outer half shaft that the wheel bolts to. Here are some part numbers with measurements if you have the old collar that was cut off you can measure it to make sure you get the right one. (you need to know your rear axle serial number).

192748M1 Sleeve, Axle (1-1/4 x 1-17/64 x 1-5/16")

892711M1 Sleeve, Axle (1-15/16 x 2-3/4 x 59/64") Used on some rear axles with serial number CR-11027 and up

185518M1 Sleeve, Axle (1-15/16 x 2-7/16 x 49/64") Used on some rear axles with serial number CR-11027 and up. (185518M1 and 893549M1 must be used together in this application).

893549M1 Spacer, Sleeve (1-15/16 x 2-3/4 x 5/32") Used on some rear axles with serial number CR-11027 and up. (893549M1 and 185518M1 must be used together in this application).

185518M1 Sleeve, Axle (1-15/16 x 2-7/16 x 49/64") Used prior to rear axle serial number CR-11027.

How many extra bolts? Did your money come yet? Looks very good. Got my steering arm partially on yesterday on the 50.

I did good. If only had a few washers left but they didn't belong there anyway. I'll have to check the mail. I'll have to finish the paint next.

Thank you for your quick response. Based on a rough drawing that I did from the old part I am pretty sure that the part number that I need is 892711M1. The measurements were made with a ruler but they are pretty close to the dimensions that you gave me. I will measure the diameter of the wheel axle with a caliper when I get a chance. I did some research and I do believe that the wheel axle is part number 892709M91. I cannot find any source for part number 892711M1. Is there another number that is equivalent or do you know where I can purchase this part? I have some photos that I will try to upload later. By the way the serial number of the tractor is SMDW702494. The rear axle serial number is either 165331M1 or 185331M1, due to aging the number was a bit hard to read. Thank you for your help.

If you can't find 892711M1 (I can't find it either, may have to try a dealer), a good machine shop should be able to make it based off the measurements. You can also take the axle end to them so they can measure it to make sure that it will be a press fit. A steel on steel press fit is usually around .001" to .003" (thousands of an inch).

You have been very helpful. If I cannot find an online source I will have to get one done. Thank you for your help.
