massey 175 hydraulic questions

I was inspecting my 175 hydraulic cover after I removed it from the tractor, and noticed it did not have a pressure valve assembly and diaphram assembly as shown in my maint manual! I am curious is this a common thing or is this the difference between the 175 and 180 MF? It does have the dashpot assembly installed. I am ready to put everything back to gether after my repairs but these 2 items are bugging me. T
he book does not say if it should be there or not. Should I be concerned about these 2 items or not? My serial number is 9A 27I9I if that will give more info on this question.

Some tractors did not have the pressure control hitch feature. If the lift cover to oil pump tube is straight your tractor does not have pressure control. It could have been removed at some point also, not many were used anyway.

Hi,
Additionally, look at the control lever quadrant.
If the both sections are the same length and you move the Position Control lever forward to lower the 3-point then it will not have had PC fitted.
If the inner quadrant is longer and you move the Position Control lever rearwards to lower the 3-point then it would have had PC fitted originally.

After further inspection from what you guys said, it never had it. I am just trying to make sure as I rebuild this thing it is as right as possible. You guys are a wealth of information. Better than the maint manuals! I should have this thing back together by next week. Thanks again...
