180 steering

So on the 180 I just bought has the adjustable steering and its been cobbled up. My question is are the columns on the 180 the same as an 1100? I know where the back half of an 1100 is that I could get parts from cheap.

Depends what you need, some parts are the same while others are not. Early 180s had the Saginaw hand pump while late tractors had Char-lynn, hope you have the late one. Also the 1100 series hydraulics were closed center while the 180 steering pump is open center, so don't try the 1100 steering pump if you need one.

The 180, and 1100 series share some of the tilt, and extension parts. If you can get the whole 1100 steering dirt cheap it's worth a shot. You could probably adapt some of the other parts, or the whole thing.

Your best bet is to log on to the Agco Parts web site and compare the part numbers of the two tractor's.
