Where to fit temp gauge sender 35x?

I have a 35x with Perkins A3.152 engine

It has never had a temperature gauge but I would like to fit one.

Where can I fit the sender unit?

ok full disclosure here I do not have a Perkins A3.152 engine or a 35 MF but have installed temp gauges on cars and trucks that don't have one. look around the engine block for plugged taped holes in pipe thread from 3/4 inch to 1/4 inch. I did pull up photos of the engine and think I found 2 one towards the rear one the left side of the block and one under the thermostat housing on the right side front of the engine. pull ether one in coolant comes out you should be able to put your sending in ether one. I hope this helps!

I don't have the 35 here, but if memory serves, the sensor fits into a hole on the left side of the thermostat housing. Possibly 1/2" pipe thread?
