Spin on oil filter adapter kit for MF 135. The Adapter Kit has 1 small, 1 large gaskets, 1 bolt, and 1 plate. The bolt has 2 different threaded sizes - one end goes thru the round plate and in the engine block the other end the oil filter. The round plate has 2 sides. One side has a 3 1/4 in. round raised circle with holes in the center which appears to fit the rubber ring on the spin on oil filter. The other plate side has a smaller 1 3/4 in. round raised circle which appears to fit inside the rubber ring on the oil filter. Which side of the plate goes against the engine block or spin on oil filter? Also the kit also has 2 different size ringed rubber gaskets. How do these gasket fit into the kit? Thanks Bill

Just guessing, but I think the gaskets would be just like they come with the filter, one is used and the other is an extra. Our 165 continental filter comes with 2 gaskets, one large one small. Only use the small one. If one side looks like it would fit the filter and the other side the block, I'd say you have it right.

Been thinking about getting that same kit for our 165 since sometimes it's hard to get a good seal on the gasket. Last time we had it apart 3 or 4 times, and dad ran it out of oil before figuring out the first time.
